ABOUT ME

Dreaming Beyond Limits

Our dreams are where our imagination and creativity run free. As kids, we let our dreams guide us — learning about the world and ourselves in the process. But as we grow older, disappointment and reality creep in, and our scope of possibility shrinks. We start to believe less is possible.

Duns is a dreamer. Unapologetically hopeful, he knows that joy and grief shape our capacity to imagine new ways of living and working. His unorthodox approach — as a facilitator, grief ritualist, clown, and coach — is rooted in the past while pushing toward futures we can’t yet see. Whether for your own life or your organization, Duns designs spaces for visioning, conflict, and change — with care, creativity, and rigor.

My Story

I often joke that I learned my earliest facilitation skills as a middle child — always reading the room and helping the group stay connected. But for years I avoided conflict, not yet understanding how generative it can be. Over time, I’ve come to see that tension, conflict, grief, and joy are vital parts of transformation.

Over the last 15 years, I’ve worked in schools, start-ups, and with organizations across the USA. I’ve studied with civil rights leaders, grief ritualists, psychologists, artists, and musicians — but my greatest teachers are young people: my nieces and nephews, my students. They remind me daily that imagination is how we create the world we want to leave behind.

Though I now mostly work with adults, my roots in education and children’s music keep me committed to staying curious, creative, and brave enough to keep dreaming. I invite you to come dream with me.
